Yes, this is my family. It is a very multi racial family. Like I've said before, I am part Native American and part Irish. My husband is African-American (or black as he prefers) and his dad's dad was Mexican. I can't tell you the number of people who have asked me if he is Samoan. :) For a long time I decided not to blog about our race. We've had more than our share of heartache over the years regarding our color differences. In light of that, I wanted to establish who I was as an individual before I even ventured onto this path. At this point I feel like I can begin to open up and blog some about my experiences as part of a multi-racial family. It's been a long journey...and we have a long way yet to go. :)
